The Platform Parkade located on 9th Ave is quickly becoming one of my favourite downtown spots for engagement sessions. It’s accessible, open, and always full of character. Will and Tara’s engagement session was a perfect reminder that you don’t need a grand location to tell a meaningful story. Sometimes the best photos happen where everyday life meets genuine connection. On a rooftop, with golden light, and two people just being themselves.
We met on the 7th floor of the Platform Parkade just as the sun began to dip behind the towers. The glass and steel of downtown reflected shades of peach and gold, wrapping the couple in a dreamy glow that made every frame feel cinematic. Between quiet moments of stillness and playful spins, Will and Tara couldn’t stop smiling. The kind of connection that doesn’t need posing or direction, just space to be itself.
The beauty of a rooftop engagement session like this one lies in its simplicity. With just the city as a backdrop, their focus stayed entirely on each other. The light softened with each minute, turning their session into a slow, beautiful goodbye to the day. This Platform Parkade engagement session feels both modern and intimate, a downtown session that offers the best of both worlds.
